The team submitted nearly 100 configurations and creative directions for consideration over a 6-month period and was awarded the coveted spot late summer. Competing against AT&T in-house design and some U.S. branding agency heavyweights, two designs were successful in making the grade and the books will be launched nationwide in all markets. The redesign is part of the YP.com suite of products with AT&T and a reflection of the companies need to revitalize a waning resource in the face of online ease and efficiency. Several cross promotional initiatives have been integrated into the book such as QR codes and various other multi-platform drivers.

So…we’re thankful to report that Community Organizational Health Inc. in Toronto recently enlisted our team to assist with their Communications Plan and evolution strategy. The Plan is largely based around the development of tactics and messaging to address their corporate metamorphosis into a more diversified, enhanced Accreditation service for primary health and social services across the Country. As it goes, the opportunity came about through a referral from another health and social services sector client, whom we thank profusely for their kind words. The Plan is in play and the deliverables underway as we work through 2012 and into 2013 on a number of communication platforms.

Having this calibre of heritage and assets at your disposal when producing ads and web strategies is humbling to say the least. Again working closely with our affiliate agency we have been leading the design team in developing visual strategies that reach the Dealer network and riding public in an edgy and thought-provoking manner. Several campaigns and interactive solutions are produced each and every day to suit the comprehensive needs of an exceptionally diverse product line. Maintaining a leading market share position each quarter is a daunting task requiring many brains and integrated focus on all variables affecting sales – including economic factors. It goes without saying that selling what most consumers consider luxury items in these times requires ample thought and aggressive sales tactics to strike a chord with the public. We are exhilarated to play a part for this great institution. Visit Kawasaki online.

Today more than ever before, people with diabetes can expect to live active, independent, and vital lives if they make a lifelong commitment to careful management of their diabetes. But this can only occur once an individual is aware of the symptoms. Seed assisted the Health Centre in developing a Plan to encompass wide market education strategies including site visits and an online survey to help bring attention to this emerging threat to the general population. Since the launch of the Are You A Target? campaign, the Health Centre is screening 7 x more new clients than they were in the previous reporting period. We did our part and gave a drip of blood for the cause, underscoring our blood and sweat and tears commitment to every client’s objectives. Take the online test at www.areyouatarget.ca today!

While not a traditional web-specialist agency, our focus was on content and messaging that supports the values of the facility. Our solution resonated with internal and external audiences alike which generated a shot at reassessment of the current brand position, which in turn gave us the opportunity to contribute some design evolutions and conceptual thinking. After a few months of research and brainstorming with the the CM’s communications team we have landed on some satisfying executions for a full range of brand initiatives. The London Children’s Museum is a regional leader in educational learning and curriculum-based activities. The Museum’s experiential approach to learning has helped to produce many community leaders that tout their experiences in the igloo as formative and fun. We are pleased to be able to play with their entire team. Visit the Children’s Museum online.

As members of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) we took the opportunity to share our love of music with a couple clients and treat ourselves to a fun experience, in style. Thanks to Megan, Mike and Tammy for joining us in our first national televised broadcast experience. Highlights included Arcade Fire, Hedley, Sarah McLachlan (for some) and Chromeo (fun), Overall a great time, check eTalk Canada’s Red Carpet coverage and you may see the Seed crew walking the walk with Ben Mulroney. Or not.

Of course it is.

A Rose in My Book, the fundraising initiative in support of local breast cancer research at the London Regional Cancer Program was the recipient of the 50/50 raffle on January 21, 2011. Team Seed was “in the pink”, along with more than 60 volunteers that night as we mingled with the crowd and quickly sold out of nearly 20,000 tickets. Thanks to London’s generous hockey fans, the winner and A Rose in My Book split almost $10,000 in proceeds, a record total over the previous year.

Best of all, the money went towards breast cancer research right here in London. It was an all around fantastic evening to feel the energy of the crowd, the excitement of the raffle and know it was all going to help such and important cause.

If you missed the hockey game, this is just the first of three A Rose In My Book fundraising efforts for 2011. Watch for more information about the Gala Dinner and Concert Thursday, May 19 featuring Alan Frew and introducing the soulful voice and charm of Aion Clarke. Stay tuned!
