Seed learns talent is great but pizza is king. Thursday, September 2, 12 noon in the parking lot, City Centre presents ‘Veggie Deluxe’, with special guests Shelly Rastin. (Sorry Rastin fans, we’ve recently learned the power of pizza.) London’s iconic business address is pleased to present the final 2010 City Sizzles Summer Concert in its lunchtime gig program. It’s a community appreciation thing and tenants and neighbours throughout the core are welcome to attend and soak up some great music and sun, with a free slice if you get to it quickly enough. Attendance, we’re pleased to say has basically doubled for this year’s presentations thanks to our partnership with Stobie’s, purveyors of pizza — who graciously provide free slices for 125-150 people at every show. Toss in a beverage on City Centre and we have a winning formula to tear folks away from their desks for the lunch hour. This year’s series kicked off with a fabulous salute to Paul from The McCartney Years, followed by high-energy Fanshawe faves Two Crown King who paved the way for the Indie Talent day. All great presentations with something for everyone. Wrapping up September 2nd will be local favourite Shelly Rastin who, with co-writer D’Arcy Corbett have worked on past tracks with Canadian legend Randy Bachman. Think about it: the nights are getting colder, frost is only a month away…why not spend one of your last beautiful, warm lunch hours out of doors with a slice and great music? Join us at City Centre, in the parking lot at the corner of Dundas and Wellington, September 2 at noon…it’ll be a good time!
